Food can heal
At Biom, our goal is to support healthy bodies, healthy minds, and a healthy planet. We are innovating delicious foods to increase your vitality and longevity—to help you live long and prosper.
We work with farmers to make sure our ingredients are grown in a way that regenerates topsoil and sequesters carbon dioxide in the process. And of course, we avoid harmful chemicals, toxic pesticides, refined sugars, and any ingredients known to negatively impact health.

A first principles approach to food
Macronutrients (protein, fats, and carbohydrates) are the foundation of any diet. Unfortunately, most modern diets are too high in carbohydrates, saturated fat, and omega-6 oil; while deficient in omega-3 oil.
- Excess carbohydrates can contribute to obesity, insulin resistance, and diabetes.
- Excess saturated fat contributes to high-cholesterol, heart-disease, and stroke.
- Excess omega-6 oils reduce the body's conversion of omega-3 oils into DHA and EPA necessary for heart and brain health.
Higher levels of DHA and EPA omega-3's contribute to a significant improvement in a host of health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, atherosclerosis, arthritis, autoimmune disease, cancer, dementia, depression, heart disease, macular degeneration, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and systemic inflammation. Remarkably, omega-3 oil helps treat the majority of the conditions driving up the cost of health care.
Naturally, our goal is to minimise excess carbohydrates, saturated fat, and omega-6 oils while prioritizing DHA/EPA forming omega-3 oils and a wealth of other beneficial regenerative ingredients.
High omega-3 camelina cooking oil
The first product we plan to bring to market is a high omega-3 cooking oil made from camelina seeds. Camelina is a oilseed in brassica family; related to canola, but much higher in omega-3 oils.
- In addition to omega-3s, camelina oil is high in vitamin E and the seed is also a good source of protein.
- Camelina oil has a high smoke point of around ~470° F (244° C), making it an ideal cooking oil.
Camelina has been grown for human consumption for thousands of years and is widely available in Europe and Canada. In the United States it is currently only available online, and is far too expensive.
Biom is working with regenerative organic farmers to drive down the cost of our high omega-3 cooking oil and get it into restaurants and supermarkets throughout the United States. We want camelina to be the primary cooking oil in the world, and believe this will have a profound impact on human health globally.
Given the seasonal aspect of regenerative farming and the time it will take our farmers to transition to a new crop (and in some cases new farming techniques) we anticipate having limited quantities of camelina oil available in early 2025 and scaling up each successive season thereafter.
Regenerative snackfoods
We want to make it easy for people to cut out unhealthy food options and get more superfoods in their diets. So we are developing irresistible, grab-and-go snackfoods packed with enough superfood goodness to meet all of your daily nutritional needs, and then some. We focus on optimal nutrition—to satisfy your hunger without the urge to addictively eat more than your body needs.
Our delicious, plant-based options will include crackers, chips, energy-bars, snack-mixes, jerkies, and drinks. We select only the most nourishing ingredients based on their ability to support optimal health and longevity, including:
- Camelina seeds for their brain and heart boosting omega-3s, along with high protein and vitamin E
- Lion's Mane mushrooms for their ability to help regrow neurons and slow age-related cognitive decline
- Miatake and Shiitake mushrooms for their potent cancer-fighting qualities and their ability to help the body clear cancer cells before they become a problem
- Elderberry for its antioxidants and immune system benefits
- Seaberry for its omega-7 oil which protects and rejuvenates the skin
- Red Grapes containing resveratrol, a potent cancer fighting nutrient which has also shown cardioprotective, antioxidant, neuroprotective, and anti-inflammatory effects
- Green Tea for its cancer fighting and fat buring properties, as well as its ability to increase energy levels and improve brain function
- Green leafy vegetables for their vitamins and cancer-fighting properties
- Seaweeds for vitamins, minerals, thyroid protection, and metabolic benefits
